The Crusader, a Christian extremist, joined the DDS during the Clone Wars but had his own ship and was given carte blanche to do what he liked i.e. kill Godless heathens aka aliens. The rise of Windy to prominence sickened The Crusader who decided to leave and was seen from time to time in the Rim Worlds as a privateer.
Recently he returned to NS, his old ship and crew reported lost in an accident, and he has been given command of a NS ship, currently SS North Sea. He is a good captain but a complete xenophobic zealot.
