Sea Urchin was part (and one of the few survivors) of the second wave of DDS warriors bought in after the disaster of the heavy defeat at the end of the First Clone War. Sea Urchin was a good soldier though more adept at technical aspects of DDS operations than warfare and has risen steadily through the ranks until he now heads all of DDS Facilities including DDS Research and DDS Engineering.
He has also served as a temporary DDS Commander following the death of The Orchid until the election of AP.
Disgusted at the excesses of the AP regime Sea Urchin helped organise and lead the revolt that finally bought down the Hoods. Sea Urchin was rewarded by being made a joint-Deputy DDS Commander.
When Knobhead stood down as Commander Sea Urchin won the election to replace him. Under his rule his title has changed to President and he merged NS with the UNP defence department to create Epiphany. In 2119 he began a new political career in the UNP, starting with a position on the UNP Defence Committee. He remains in NS in an advisory role.
His first name is thought to be Sidney.
